The major temporary exhibition of Technopolis
for the year 2018
presents the history of the Greek industry,
emphasizing on the elements of innovation and novelty.
The narration covers a broad period of time,
from 1860, when the Athens Gas Factory,
today’s Technopolis, was inaugurated,
up to Greece’s de-industrialisation, in the 1970s.
On the old Gas Factory premises,
operating today as an Industrial Gas Museum,
the exhibition was developed on three principal thematic units:
The major one presented firms and corporations,
divided into 8 key industries.
A second section presented historical context of these 160 years,
through a timeline interactive table.
Last by not least, parallel stories presenting the human factor,
complemented the space surrending the timeline table.
Color played the key element of the exhibition design,
which drew inspiration from the 1950s expos.
The exhibition was held from 18.01 to 25.03.2018.
